Memberships
The following may become Individual Members of AIR:
Natural or legal persons who own private broadcasting stations that have been in continuous operation prior to the submission of their membership application.
Radio Groups belonging to business organizations that operate more than five (5) radio stations within the same country, in more than one locality, or a single station with coverage and an operating license in more than 60% of the national territory, provided they have been in continuous operation prior to the submission of their membership application.
Television Groups belonging to business organizations that operate more than five (5) television stations within the same country, in more than one locality, or a single station with coverage and an operating license in more than 60% of the national territory, provided they have been in continuous operation prior to the submission of their membership application.
Applications for admission shall be addressed to the General Directorate, which will submit them for consideration and resolution by the Board of Directors. The Board shall approve or reject such applications after a period of 30 days from the date they have been communicated to the members in the applicant’s country. Applications must be accompanied by reliable documentation supporting the representation claimed.
